Derby Bed Centre gives children without a bed; beds and mattresses to sleep on, working alongside ForgetMe-Notts part of Operation Orphan.

Our aim is to supply ten mattresses a week.

We give a mattress, and bed if possible, to a child without a bed to sleep on, every time a customer pays full price for an Ozone mattress, as part of our corporate social responsibility.

We have an agreement with Kayflex, UK mattress manufacturer, to produce and supply at cost,  to support the charity. Often children flee domestic violence with nothing, with no choice but to sleep on a concrete floor. A new mattress means the world to these children.

Derby Bed Centre sponsors Wollaton Hall & Bramcote Under 14’s Football Team to help raise more funds.

Waste Nott Want Nott Responsible Charitable Recycling – Change Lives

We responsibly collect, dismantle, and recycle your old mattresses, bed bases and sofas working with Waste Nott Want Nott, part of Operation Orphan, reducing our carbon footprint. The eco- friendly solution either reuses the mattress (the cover is washed and it is cleaned), or it is shredded using the first machine in the world to shred and burn the flock to make electricity and recycle the metal helping to fund the childrens’ charity. Turn your bulky rubbish into life chances for vulnerable children.

Bed & Mattress Recycling

7.5 million mattresses currently go to landfill. The technology we use extends the life of a landfill site x 10 and can shred 1 million mattresses per year. Landfill is much more expensive ecologically and monetarily.
